Welcome to another
issue of the "Your Journey to Freedom"
newsletter.

For the last week I have frantically searching
the
websites of some of my subscribers, just to get an idea of
why some succeed and others don't. Why you ask?
Just recently an email was sent out to you recommending
one of the programs that I use and promote. I have found
this to be reasonable successful, however a couple of
subscribers didn't share my enthusiasm and indicated that
they had previously used this program, but were not very
impressed with the results.
Now depending on your promotional strategy,
everyone will
have varying results. What works for one person, won't
work for another. I wasn't too alarmed to read some
negative comments on this program, as I also received some
very positive comments as well.
However, I ALWAYS listen to my friends, so this
got me
thinking.
Why some people are successful and some aren't
when they
use the same products or promote the same programs? Then I
remembered that a friend who had asked me to have a look at
his website a few weeks ago to work out why he wasn't
making any many sales as he should have.
So I started to do some digging to pin down
why this
happens. What I found was not surprising and confirmed my
initial suspisons.
So I decided to write a series of articles explaining
what
I had discovered and to outline a "plan" that will
help to
fix some of the problems that you face online.
Hey... I can't give you the winning lottery
numbers, so I
can't fix all your problems. But hopefully I can give you a
starting base to work from so you can create a solid
foundation for your online business.
Today's feature article is the first issue in
this series.
However I can't tell you how many issues there will be in
the series, as I have only just started it and I am writing
it "off the cuff" using my own experiences. There
could be
4, 6 or even 8, so you will have to keep your eyes peeled
for each issue.
I haven't even had the chance to give the "series"
a name
as yet, so if you can think of a good name, let me know.
Either way, if you are frustrated with your
online results
to date, then you don't want to miss this "living"
series.
Oh yeah, by the way. You'll notice a few changes
in the
newsletter. The biggest changes that you'll notice is that
there are no advertisements and I have combined the Tips
Section with the Recommended Resources Section.
The reason I did this was to cut down on the
waffle so
that you could get still get some great information and
some super tips or tools, yet still have plenty of time to
spend on more important matters, like going outside to play
with the kids etc ;o)

The KEY
Ingredient to a Successful Online Business

A little
while ago one of my subscribers contacted me and
told me that he was have trouble making REAL money online.
Sure he was making the odd sale here and there, but nothing
substantial. So he asked me to have a look at his website
and give him some pointers on how he could increase his
conversion rate, so he could make more sales.
Now normally,
I don't personally review websites, but as
it was a quite period and he had been a loyal customer for
sometime, I decided to break my rule and have a quick look
around his site to see if I could work out what the problem
was.
Within seconds
of visiting his site, I new EXACTLY what
his problem was and why he wasn't having the level of
success he had hoped for.
While he
had written good ad copy and had focused on
generating a decent level of website traffic to his site,
he was still missing the big picture. Don't get me wrong,
these are both important ingredients to success, but
neither of these are the KEY ingredient to success.
He was missing
what I consider to be the most important
aspect of an online business...
... being
able to follow up with your contacts!
When I ask
him what system he had in place to "follow-up"
with his visitors, he told me that he diligently monitored
his inbox and used an autoresponder to answer all of his
emails.
Well, that's
great service to his customers, which is also
a very important part of success, but... that just doesn't
cut it. This is NOT follow-up!
The thing
is, he is not alone with this lack of
communication.
Market research
has proven that it will usually take
between 5 to 12 contacts with a prospect before they trust
you and are confident enough to make a purchase from you.
The standard
number of contacts that internet marketers
use is no less than 7 contacts. So, if it takes at least 7
contacts with your prospects to make a sale, what are you
doing to make sure you reach that number with EVERY
prospect?
You cannot
take a passive approach to marketing and hope
that when someone visits your website, they will come back
at a later time to check it out again and make a purchase.
This is financial suicide!
If you want
to be successful online… you MUST have a
system in place to collect your visitors contact details,
so you can follow-up with them at a later time! It is
imperative that you understand this concept.
Why?
Up to 98%
of visitors who visit your site WILL NOT
purchase any of your products.
That's right…
only 2% of your visitors (on average) will
purchase your products on their first visit to your
website! If that shocks you, don't be alarmed, you can turn
any negative into a positive, if you are prepared to take
action.
All of your
marketing has to be proactive. In other words,
YOU are the one who has to make sure you contact your
visitors at least 7 times, so you can get maximum exposure
to sell the BENEFITS of your product or service.
We have
the most powerful tool in the entire marketing
world available to us online... yet only a small portion of
us are taking advantage of it.
That tool
is... EMAIL.
I don't
know of any other tool where you can follow-up and
communicate with hundreds or even thousands of prospects
EVERY single day of the week and not spend a single cent.
If you followed
this daily follow-up system using direct
mail, it would cost you a fortune and you'd send yourself
broke in a matter of weeks. With email though, you can send
thousands of follow-up emails for FREE… as often as you
like.
If you don't
currently have a system in place on your site
to allow you to follow-up with your prospects, don't make
excuses, just do it NOW. Make a commitment that you will
start collecting your visitors content information... TODAY!
I am here
to help you, so to give you a base to build on,
I'm going to give you details of the most important steps
for getting started with email marketing.
So now you
won't have any excuses not to do it!
I want you
to succeed online and that's why I am going to
go to extreme lengths in the next few issues to show you
the EXACT steps you'll need to follow to be successful.
But not
today, as unfortunately I've run out of space in
this issue.
So you'll
have to wait until the next issue were you'll
learn the NUMBER ONE step you need to do if you want
to make any REAL money online. This one step can literally
be the difference between life or death of your business.

The Recommended
Resources section provides products reviews,
tools or just usful tips that I have personally found very
beneficial in my online business and believe that you would
also find of value. Some of these are free, while others
come at a cost.
Either way,
unless they are of benefit, I will NOT recommend
them!
This simple
script protects your website from visitors who
may try to "steal" your images or text. It disables
the
right click feature of your visitor mouse so they can't
easily copy the content of your webpages.
Place the below script between the <head> and </head>
tags
in your webpage.
You can
change the wording that will be displayed when
your visitor tries to copy your webpage by changing the
message in between the quotes in the alert brackets.
Just be
aware that these "no right click" type scripts
only deter the inexperienced user. There are many ways
around them.
