Hi Friend,

If nothing else, life in the last few weeks has been
very eventful and interesting.

Last week I was snowed under with the success of the
1cellnet program and was unable to finish the article
for last weeks issue.

This week, low and behold, another problem of a
different nature cropped up. Maybe I should rephrase that
last thought and say... Mother Nature!

You see last Friday afternoon our placid, never hurt
anyone, friendly town was hit by a servere tropical
electrical storm. During the storm a lightning thunderbolt
damaged the base facilities of my Internet Service Provider
(ISP) and knocked out our internet access.

Unfortunately it wasn't until Monday afternoon that we
were able to get back online. Needless to say, I am now
investigating alternative options of obtaining a backup ISP
for emergency situations.

As a result, the newsletter is a little late this week.

My ute or as our American friends call it my "pick
up" also packed it in this week. Apparently one of radiator
hoses spit and it cooked the motor. As the temperature
guage was not working properly for some reason or another,
I had no idea what was going on underneath the hood until
it was too late.

So now it looks like I'm up for a new vehicle. Damn
it's been a good week :o)

Given my recent run of luck, I can't make any guarantee
that next weeks issue will be delivered without any
dramas, but then again, my luck has to change for the
better shortly... surely! ;-)

But I am pleased to say that I've completed another
article in the series of building your opt-in email list
and I'm positive that if you implement the suggestions in
the article, you can build a very sizable list.

How Words Can Fuel Your M.oney Train for Years to Come!

Creating an on.line cash flow is the goal of most, if not
all, on.line business owners. But this isn't something that
happens overnight. It can take many months of hard slog
even before you start to see any rewards for your hard work
and dedication.

In simple terms, the secret to on.line success can be
measured in the quality and responsiveness of your opt-in
email list! Sure… knowing how to craft good ad copy so you
can follow-up with your list is very important... but
you've got to have a list first!

Savvy marketers know this! So right off the bat they
develop a long-term plan to build the foundations for their
business and implement strategies to create the fuel needed
to feed their "m.oney train"... a.k.a. their opt-in email
list.

So how can you begin to build a solid platform for your
business? How can you put measures in place to start
creating your own "m.oney train"?

Here are two of the most reliable FREE strategies of
building a laser targeted, highly responsive opt-in email
list:

1. Writing and Submitting Articles

Writing articles related to your niche and submitting
them to article directories is an excellent free method of
building your opt-in email list. This one strategy alone
has the potential to increase your list by up to hundreds
of subscribers every week.

Just imagine if an article you wrote was published by
an
ezine owner who had a list of 50,000 subscribers. Just
think of the leverage that you could achieve using this
method to capture subscribers to your list?

What if you submitted one article every two weeks for
6 months? Can you see how powerful a technique this is to
drive people to your website? What if you drove these
visitors to your capture page... can you image the type
of exposure you would achieve?

An added bonus is that your articles will also be place
on other websites all over the net, which will vastly
increase your link popularity. This in turn will improve
your search engine ranking for your keyword phrases and
drive even more visitors to your website.

The potential of this technique is enormous and it
should one of your highest priorities.

Once you have written your article, simple do a search
for "article submission directory" and then submit it to
as many sites as possible.

If you are just starting out and would like help on how
to write and where to submit your articles, then I highly
recommend you check out "Turn Words into Traffic" by Jim
Edwards. It's one of the best resources I have found on
the net for writing articles.

2. Participate in Forums and Discussion Boards

Another method of increasing your subscribers is to
participate in forums and discussion boards. Why?

People who frequent forums are usually highly motivated
and interested in that particular niche. So if you can get
these people to subscribe to your ezine or download your
report, you will be able to build a very highly targeted
and responsive email list.

So how do you do this?

Firstly...

You should only participate in highly trafficable and
popular forums so that you can leverage your exposure. The
easiest way to determine the forums traffic is to check out
its Alexa traffic ranking at http://www.alexa.com. The
lower the ranking, the higher the traffic it is receiving.

To find the most popular discussion boards, simply
perform a search for "your niche" + discussion board and
check out the results. For example, if your niche is
inter.net mar.keting, do a search for "inter.net mar.keting
discussion board".

You also need to check out how many items are posted in
the forum each day. If items are posted on an irregular
basis, such as only one or two every few days, then it
would be best to give this a miss and find another forum.
You need to find a forum that has multiple posts every day.

Secondly...

Find the 3 most popular forums related to your niche and
then simply post any questions you have or respond with
answers to posts from other users. You must ensure though
that you don't blatantly spam the forum, otherwise you will
get banned very quickly.

The KEY to this technique is to place your signature file
(or "resource box") at the end of your message every time
you make a post. Your signature (sig) file should include
the URL of your capture page to entice your visitors to
join your list. An alternative is to include an email link
so that people can subscribe directly to your newsletter.

By spending one hour per day participating in forums you
can drive hundreds of highly targeted, potential subscribers
to your capture page every week.

There you have it!

These two f.r.e.e. and easy to implement strategies will
allow you to begin laying the foundations for your
successful busi.ness and to create the fuel you need to feed
your "m.oney train" for years to come!

Next week we will discuss what is perhaps the number one,
most reliable, f.r.e.e. method of building a highly
responsive opt-in email list in as little time as possible. Some
marketers have used this method to quickly build a list of
over 10,000 subscribers... in as little as 12 months.
