How
to Create a Website Using
Free Website Tools and Tips to Start an Internet Business and
Make Money Online
Creating
a website can be daunting, but if you have the right website
tools it can be much easier. The number one point you
must be clear on is that your website must be specifically
designed to sell your product.
There
are two major mistakes that I see 95% of internet
marketing business owners making when creating a website is in
the area of designing their site.
The first mistake is that they focus so much on how to create
a website using graphics, they end up overshadowing the actual
product itself.
Websites
that use Flash, Real Audio and Real Video look very appealing,
but they don’t get results.
You
have to ask yourself, do you want to create a website
to impress your visitors with pretty colors and video clips, or
do you want to make money online!
In
my own tests, I have found that creating a simple professional
looking website, without all the bells and whistles, produces
the best results.
The
second major mistake that webmasters make is they use the wrong
tools to design and create a
website in the first place and they end up with a very unprofessional
looking site.
Creating
a Professional Website
Creating
a professional website, strategically designed
to sell your products or services is one of the most
important factors in determining your success. If you don’t
get this right then you will struggle from day one to make
money online and be successful.
But being able to create your own
professional website without having to learn, what can be at times,
complicated HTML coding can be damn frustrating.
Of course programs such as Dreamweaver set the
standard for what is termed "wysiwyg" editors (what
you see is what you get). But at a cost of 400 bucks or more,
not everyone has the 'luxury' of owning this.
But don't despair, I have a solution...
For instance we just came across a web page authoring
system with features similar to that of Dreamweaver or FrontPage,
and it's free. You can check it out at...

The only problem with free programs is that they
still don't have the same appeal. Sure, if you're just starting
out and want something that is affordable and cost effective,
then this is a good alternative.
But as with everything, there is a trade-off...
This trade-off comes in the form of flexibility
and useability - which converts to a loss of sales... and prof'its!
If you'd like a quality website creation program,
but don't want to shell out big bucks, I strongly suggest you
check out this alternative... 123

If you can use a word processor, you can now create
and edit great looking webpages fast! Don't be fooled by the low
price... this is an extremely powerful resource.
In fact in my opinion this is the world's easiest
way to create and edit great looking and professional webpages...

Ok.
Now that you know how to create a website you
have to choose what type of website you are going to create.
You
basically have two choices:
 |
Create
a content website that includes not only your products and
services, but also information and resources
that will be of interest to your target market. |
 |
Design
a mini website that focuses on just one product or
service, with no other content of any kind. If you
purchase a product with reprint rights, you
should also be given with a ready to go, turnkey mini-site
that you can plug in your details and upload to your server.
|
Both
types of sites can be very effective. However,
the choice you make will be determined by the amount of time you
are able to devote to your project and will play
an important role on how you approach your site.
If
you have time, I suggest that you create a content
website (similar to this one) and provide your visitors with valuable
information. Content sites have proven to rank
higher in the search engines and this will greatly increase
website traffic and give you a distinct advantage over
your competitors.
However,
if you are just starting out and don’t have a lot of spare
time, then it is probably best that you start with an internet
marketing mini-site and focus on promoting a
single product.
While
you may not get as much free website traffic from the search engines,
you will have more time to focus your efforts on other forms of
advertising, such as pay per click and ezine advertising.
If
you decide to design a mini-site you will need
to learn how to write effective sales letters
and ad copy. One of the best resources I have used for this is
